| The alarm didn't wake me up today. It sounded for 10 minutes and apparently, I am immune to loud ringing. But hey, the driver didn't come anyway 'cause it was Labor Day today. So I wouldn't have been able to go to Fun Run otherwise.
Served in the Parish of the Holy Sacrifice again today. Last week we were 9 in the choir, this week, we were 5. Hahaha! Weow. Everyone else was in the Household. XD
Ummm... my phone is fixed! :D Yay. Had it reformatted though. Good thing I created a back up the night before. :D
The result of my second exam wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. In fact it was waaaaaay way higher than I thought! GRABE! I do not know where Ma'am E.ugen.io got all the extra points, but she said she was very considerate. Wow. I seriously thought my highest would be a 70+ %!! Thank you Ma'am! And thank you so much, Lord!!! :D Just hope I maintain my current standing. :) (Para makabawi sa Math 53 XDDD)
It's interesting how Ma'am E.uge.nio is the polar opposite of Ma'am Pi.ned.a (Art Stud 1). Una, Ma'am E.uge.nio is a Christian who seems to have a great faith in our Lord. YAY FOR THAT!!! :D And Ma'am Pi.ned.a's an atheist.
[I like it when I get Christian professors in UP, lalo na kung Catholic. As far as I know, aside from this prof, there's Ma'am Mar.quez (Eng 1), Sir Chr.is (Math 53)-- CYA Alumnus, and Dr. Co.o (Chem 26.1) -- She has been serving in my Parish for a long time!! I CANNOT BELIEVE I DIDN'T NOTICE HER UNTIL TWO WEEKS AGO. And she's a friend of my dad! XD Pretty few for three terms.]
Ma'am E.uge.nio doesn't really approve of rallying, and Ma'am Pi.ned.a's always at the front line of demonstrations. Cool. XD

My semi-new phone is acting up. :( It keeps on rebooting and
rebooting and rebooting and rebooting when I turn it on. Waaah. Tapos kanina
the back lights were are all weird. It's still semi-new. :( It's not like I
maltreat it. In fact, hindi pa yan nababagsak sa hard suface. Ihaychoo. :( Oh
well, my dad's bringing it back tomorrow. Thankyouwarranty.
Moving on.
Math54 2nd exam yesterday was as hard as the first exam was
easy. Che. I wish I didn't skip last Sunday's NYF Manila participant's reunion
to study. I woudln't have done better anyway.
Today's Math was interesting though. I like how Ma'am
Eu.geni.o often fails to stick to the topic. There was a discussion about
movies which led to a short lecture on cryptographers and the number theory.
Basically, I think she wants us to see how complex Math isn't so useless in
real life after all.
This then led me and Gihanna (well mostly me ahaha) to talk
about the Central Dogma. One semester void of an MBB class and we almost forgot
what SSBPs were. (SSBP- Single Strand Binding
Protein: It’s the one that keeps the unwound parent DNA from recoiling during
replication.) Well, at least we still remember the lysogenic and lytic cycles,
the special properties of glycine and cysteine, the tryp and lac operon, gene
guns and bioremediation. XD

Days ago, I checked out the classes for first sem AY
2008-2009. Apparently, the freshmen demand for MBB10 is 37. Ang dami ah! O_o I
think, if the directory's accurate, there are only 30 of us. By next semester,
not counting the possible x number of shiftees — where x є [0,2] according to Dr. Sal.om.a according to
Daben, we'd only at least 25.
Well, come to think of it, the graduates this year are only
19! XD
Oh yeah, CONGRATULATIONS TO THE MBB GRADUATES OF 2008!!! :D
You guys will be dearly missed, especially those I have grown an attachment to.
But then again, I cannot wait to see what great things you will do in the near

| I began to read the Bible again, cover to cover, usually late at night. I used to read a few chapters here and there but I never got to read it like a typical book. Plus, I never really bothered to read the guide. So now I do.
Anyway, last night, I found something on the guide that really struck me. Unfortunately, I won't be able to properly cite my source 'cause I can't find the name of the writer of the commentary. Just for the sake of academic integrity (!!!), the Bible I use is the one we were required to get in Grade 7 back in MCGS. (Hahaha! It was the handiest one so that was the one I kept.) So anyway, here it is:
It's not enough to say: "I have my faith." Will this faith of mine lead me to sacrifice myself to change the world?
Oh yeah, and on the next page, an whole paragraph was a real must read. Just a brief background, I was on the bit about Noah's Ark.
In some way, the Church is this Ark which we enter through faith and baptism and where we are welcomed by Christ, the new Noah. It would be obviously wrong to lock ourselves in the Church as in a refuge of the saved and from there to condemn everything taking place in the world, forgetting that our mission is to save the world (Jn 3:17) Yet, we must not forget that Church is the only hope of the world and nothing can enter the Kingdom without passing through purifying and destroying waters.
